Install library into a local Maven repository

Posted on 23-05-2014 11:27 by graham
If you want to use in your Maven project a JAR that is not available in any web Maven repository, you can install this library locally and use it in your POM just as any other Maven artifact.

To install a library locally, execute:
mvn install:install-file -Dfile=c:\path\to\the\library.jar
-DartifactId=some-name -Dversion={version} -Dpackaging=jar
